obvečamo vas, da bo potekalo tekmovanje v prezentiranju doktorskih disertacij oz. tem doktorskih disertacij v 3 minutah. Prijavljeni in izbrani študenti bodo prejeli brezplačen on-line trening retorike in komuniciranja znanosti, kar je v današnjem času vedno bolj potrebno.

What is the PhD CUP?
The SGroup PhD Cup aims to strengthen PhD candidates’ research communication skills through a competition inspired by the 3-Minute Thesis pitch model. Selected participants will benefit from a fully funded online training on rhetoric and research communication.
The PhD Cup includes:
- An online training phase with expert coaching
- A video submission round, leading to the selection of the top 10 candidates
- A live final in Gliwice, Poland, where the top five finalists, supported by their home institution, will present during the SGroup Annual Meetings.
The winner will receive a PhD Mobility Grant of up to €1,000 to support research abroad.
Who Can Apply?
- PhD candidates enrolled at an SGroup member university.
- Candidates who are neither at the initial nor final stage of their PhD and will still be enrolled in October 2026

Key Dates
- 12 March – Applications sent to Liaison Officers for validation
- 18 March – Deadline for eligibility check by Liaison Officers
- 25 March – PhD Cup selection
- 26 March – Results communicated to Liaison Officers
- 30 March – Results communicated to selected candidates
- 4 & 6 May – Mandatory online training
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
